One wide side contact, enough to carry 10A of current (this is the type of fuse installed), but the plug is inserted into the socket with less force.
The center contact is spring loaded.
Cable shock absorber at the outlet of the connector to prevent breaking of wires.
Carbolite heat-resistant housing, does not deform when overheated, unlike plugs made of polystyrene.
Convenient lugs for soldering wires separated by a barrier.
