Mobile High Definition Link (MHL) technology of the mobile AV interface combines the functionality of HDMI and MicroUSB interfaces, and serves to directly connect mobile devices to TVs and monitors that support high definition Full HD.
Thanks to MHL, a mobile phone or tablet can become the heart of home theater. The MHL specification allows 1080p video at 60 frames per second, as well as 7.1-channel digital audio.
The MHL adapter provides an additional MicroUSB port for connecting a power adapter and is compatible with any display device that has an HDMI port and does not support MHL. But at the same time, the mobile video source device must necessarily support this standard. MHL technology allows you to simultaneously view mobile content on a large monitor (TV) screen with full audio playback and charge the battery of a connected mobile device.
MHL does not require any settings or drivers; a special chip is responsible for encoding and transmitting data in the "stuffing" of the mobile device.
Without connecting an external power supply (5V, 1A and above), there will be no HDMI output signal. Sometimes you need to restart your phone when connecting.
