A bi-directional logic level converter allows signals to be pulled down from 5V to 3.3V, or up from 3.3V to 5V. It can also work with 1.8V and 2.8V levels. Allows to convert 4 communication lines.
A very useful miniature device for interfacing modules with controllers in the event that they have different logical unit voltages. The device is based on four MOSFET transistors, thanks to which the converter received a bi-directional logic level matching circuit on four channels, it can both increase and decrease signals, these functions are used to connect UART, I2C and SPI interfaces.

Connecting to the board:

  1. A high voltage source is connected to the HV pin (for example 5V)
  2. To LV pin - low (for example 3.3V)
  3. Common minus - to the GND pin
Now the high voltage logic 1 applied to the HVi pin will be converted to a low voltage logic 1 at the LVi pin.
Conversely, a logic high of low voltage at the LVi pin will be converted to a logic high of a high voltage at the HVi pin.
